SUMMERS FAMILY

It doesn't seem that long ago that I was taking pictures at Krisi's bridal shower. I love this adorable little family so much. Baby Luke is so freakin' lucky!

CY & THE BRICK HOUSE

This is my nephew Cy. Last weekend when we went to Idaho Falls, Cy's mom told me about this house down the street that had been burned down, but for which the brick walls still remained. She thought it would be the perfect spot to take Cy's seventh year pics. When I saw the house, I freaked out with delight--I couldn't have imagined a cooler location.

Cy loves music and has expressed that he wants to make music "like his Uncle Brent" (my husband). I had to continually calm Cy's fears of the house falling in on him and crushing him to death, and kept telling him: "When you make your first album you are going to have all these awesome pictures of you as a kid to use for the cover!" Because as you can see here...Cy has his "tortured artist" pose totally down.

This is what Cy does when you ask for his "model pose."

Because I was super obsessed with the house, I took a ton of detail shots of it after our shoot. I kept telling Cy he should totally pay attention and look around, because he may never see something like this again. He started looking closely at how the house was built, and I think he was less scared of dying by being smashed after that. One week after we took these pictures the house officially came down. I am so glad I was able to take pictures here, and hope I don't make too many people sad because they can't have their pictures here too.

MASON

Mason was one of my very first models, and he usually adores his photo shoots (mostly due to the great efforts of his mother to make them seem more like play time than picture time). Unfortunately, Mason was in no mood for pictures when I took these. I told his mom that perhaps she would be even more impressed with my photo abilities after seeing the pictures I was able to salvage from this shoot. I hope I am right.

JOHNSON FAMILY

I really love this family. They are the sweetest! And little Taylee is the cutest girl ever, I get such a kick out of her expressions.

CHURCH FAMILY

As a photographer, anytime you know you are going to be taking pictures of a family of seven, you get a little nervous. But with the Church family, I had nothing to worry about. All the kids were such good models and we were able to get the pictures done super fast. Speed was very important, because we had a huge storm coming in right as we met up for our shoot. So I guess we can thank mother nature for giving everyone that "wind blown" look that magazines pay money for. I had a great time with this family. Our time together was certainly short, but definitely sweet.

CHRISTIE & BRYAN PART IV

Christie and Bryan's reception was a lovely evening. Hot pink reigned and crepes were served. I actually didn't try any of the crepes since I think I am the only person in the world who doesn't really dig them. Everyone else was going crazy for them though, and they were truly a hit.

I love this picture. I was just taking pictures of the siblings, and suddenly Bryan's attention went elsewhere...his super beautiful wife was walking out of the bride's room and down the stairs. AWWWWE....

I think I may have found my new assistant at this wedding...what do you think? Well...hey, we both shoot with Nikons!

Thanks you guys for the wonderful opportunity to be a part of your day! It DID not go unnoticed how many times you told me "thank you", and I hope I remembered to say it back a few times. Best of luck and love!

CHRISTIE & BRYAN PART III

I love toasts at wedding luncheons and dinners. It is such a great time to have a moment to hear all about the bride and groom, and see how much their families treasure them. They make me smile every time.

CHRISTIE & BRYAN PART II

One of the greatest scheduling advantages to a temple wedding is the ample time you have to spend with the bride and groom to take pictures together. The lighting isn't always the best, but time is a great ally to have on your side when it comes to pictures on the big day. Enjoy my favorites from Christie and Bryan's first photo shoot as husband and wife.

CHRISTIE & BRYAN PART I

The absolute perfect state of the weather was much spoken of on Christie and Bryan's wedding day. It was such a perfect day, in more ways than just the weather. Here are my favorite pics from them coming out of the temple. I also went around and took some detail shots of the temple before they came out. Enjoy.
